Shrink the size of gallery thumbnails

I've now posted a customisation which allows you to shrink the size of your gallery thumbs, which allows you to fit more on the page. Please check it out here:

Aha, that's ingenious! Not only smaller thumbs, but totally scalable.

To add some spacing between the thumbs, would the margin property be the best way?

You can actually set the spacing between thumbs from the Display tab of the settings of the galleries block in the customiser.

I tried this with the Smugmug style gallery, to shrink the size of the thumbnails there, but that style must have a different container name or something because it didn't do anything.

The code to remove the gallery icons worked though. Thanks!
