Strange Gallery Thumbs

Some of the thumbs my SM style galleries are grayed and have an eye with a line through it in the center, but they display fine when I double click them to fill the browser????

How do I make the thumbs in the SM style galleries larger and have it apply to all galleries?

I believe the thumbs that are grayed out and have an icon in the middle are images that you have marked as hidden.

Thanks. I didn't know that I could do that in legacy SM, but I see how to unhide them in new SM.
