R1 can do nightshots

This was a RAW shot. I only opened it through the CS RAW converter after converting to dng file first. No further pp. Not even usm. No noise filter.

ISO 1600 1/40 f3.5, handheld. You can easily read the time on the tower.

    Extremely impressive, especially since you shot it at ISO 1600. I love the color and reflect. Job well done!

    That's one of the things I miss of my 828 when I use my E-1: the lack of a mirror slap enables you to handhold to much slower speeds. Adrian just proofed that again with this stunning image.

    Thank you! I learned to freeze, which is very helpfull now when shooting low shutterspeed. rolleyes1.gif

    I never shot with a dslr in a low light situation. This is what we call still photography. rolleyes1.gif I also like the life histogram and preview. The Zebra is helpfull to avoid clipping and overexposure.
