Navigation jumpy and slow.

Hi,
Cool looking new templates. I want one. But when I click around on these two examples, I the whole page redraws every time I click on a navigation link. And it's slow and kind of blinky. It's most noticeable on the left nav panel where the background color disappears, then the profile picture comes back, then the background comes back. Or in the vonwong example, the left nav panel goes away, then the social icons come back then they move back down to the bottom of the page and the nav links get drawn in.

Is there a way to have that blinky redraw on nav clicks not happen in such an obvious way?
