where are my pictures?

I am trying to figure this all out and so confused I am about to pull my hair out. When I go to "Preview" and click on my galleries, there are no pictures in there? I keep on trying to get this right and everything looks ok, then I click on preview and it all looks different...then I can't get back to where I was before...I wish I could just pay somebody to transfer my legacy site to the new one because I am ready to give up. I am not technically literate as far as codes, breadcrumbs, links etc. I just want everything to work the way my legacy site works...
I also cannot find my bio page...sometimes it shows up and then I click the home page and it disappears...
