Colour scheme designer - choosing colours

As we are all redesigning our smug sites for the new smug, you may find this colour reference for design useful. You pick the main theme colour and it gives you all the complementary colours that go with it. These things are important! :rolleyes:rolleyes:rolleyes

I could play with it for hours - its so pretty...

Use the tabs in the bottom left to alter contrast, hues etc if you want darker colours. Hover your mouse over the test colours to get the hex codes which you can key straight into your smug theme so everything coordinates.

You can see mocked-up websites using the colours you have selected in the 'examples' tab at the bottom.

How perfect is that...

It took a second look for me to realize I could slide the colors in the wheel to see different variations.

Meant to add...

If you use Firefox or Chrome you will find the colorzilla add-on very useful as you can hover over web screens to get hex codes for colours, and other things http://www.colorzilla.com/ If you use Internet Explorer... why?

Well... that's my least favorite browser but it is still the only one that works for me for drag-and-drop operations in the new smug. Apparently there is a bad combination of Windows 8 and Firefox and Chrome that causes drag and drop not to work - but only for the new smug.
