If there was any doubt that speed problems are camera issues and not
CF card issues!

Or any doubt about Microdrives being capable of top speeds:

And why I want a 1G SD card to supplement the 4G uDrive

I am hoping Sandisk can make a 4GB SD card as fast as their 512mb (and keep it very affordable).

I agree, Patch. In the 1DMkll, the SD card speed blows away the SanDIsk Ultra II CF or the IBM 4Gb MicroDrive in write speeds for me writing RAW+jpg

If they will build a 4Gb SD card that is not priced through the roof, I will be a buyer also -Just think of the ability to have 8 Gb of storage in your camera on a wallk around basis. That might be good for several days, or a whole vacation if shooting jpgs only.1drink.gifthumb.gif

I spent a lot of time at that site before I bought my D70 and CF cards. Thanks for the link, I forgot all about the Lexar 80x cards. It seems that there are going to be 2 versions of 80x cards, one much faster than the other?

D70 performance if anyone is interested.
