smart gallery woes

well upto now I've been enjoying my smugmug experience. Got my page setup pretty much how i like it, I still can't set a favicon despite uploading a 16x16 .PNG, but whatever I'm sure they'll fix that bug.

I am tearing my hair out over the smart gallery settings. Doesn't work at all.

I have ALL my photos in one big gallery, then i create a second gallery with which i use smart settings. In this case I have a second gallery for Panoramas. I have set this to to take photos from the main gallery with the keyword "panorama". Up to now it's worked fine, but last night i noticed it's not adding new photos from the main gallery. I've tried deleting the gallery completely and starting from scratch, but it still won't add in some photos i've recently uploaded.

    I had the same issue - added new images and keywords but it took until the following day for the ability to add them to a smart galleria....could be the servers just not able to index fast enough. Even then it does not happen automatically. I had to go in and refresh the rules to pick up the new images....

    Not very smart for smart galleries. Needs some work for sure.

    I'm thinking now that it's not the fault of the smart gallery, it's that the keywords aren't being saved properly.

    If I upload a photo to a gallery then tag with a keyword, then goto search and type in that keyword, nothing comes up. This tells me that there's nothing wrong with the smart gallery it's that smugmug isn't updating when i assign a keyword to an image.

    Having same issue with the smart gallery only the opposite. Setup a slideshow gallery as a smart gallery then assign keywords to pics to populate the gallery. When I want to remove a pic from the smart gallery I delete the keyword. Only problem is that when I delete the keyword from the pic, it still shows up in the smart gallery and when I do a search based on keywords the pics still show up even though the keyword is not listed in the keywords for the pic. Even if I delete the keyword all together the pics still show up as if they still had the key word assigned.
