Can you move the social icons in Sierra?

I use Sierra for my site design. I really love it apart from one thing - I don't like how on the homepage the social icons are automatically placed off the bottom of the screen. They appear off the screen no matter what size the browser window is.

Is it possible to automatically place the social icons automatically at the bottom of the screen? Is there some CSS code I could use? Does anyone know?

    Interesting .. played around with the template for a few minutes and can't seem to fix that behavior either. Will play around some more.

    Got to ask .. how did you do the full page slide show?

    Yes, that is exactly what I followed to make my slideshow.

    Has anyone worked out how to move the social icons bar up so that it is always displayed on the homepage in Sierra yet?

    I'm guessing this can't be done?

    You just want to bring the social icons up "above the fold" on your homepage rather than requiring the user to scroll, right?

    Yes Andy, that is exactly what I want to do. I had the social buttons at the bottom of the homepage on my legacy site and I'd like the same on my new site if possible.

    Do you have any idea how to do this?

    Hello Simon,
    I really like the look of your site. Are you using the Sierra new design?
    How did you replace the exsiting photo with the slidshow of your own photo?
    I drag the slideshow over but it does not replace the mountain photo of Sierra design

    Thanks,
    Ken

    This will get you close, depending on your margins and icon-size you'll need to increase or decrease the -31 part. I only confirmed it worked in FF on Win8, as always you should test in the browsers / devices / screen sizes you care about.
    .sm-page-layout-region-footer
    {
      margin-top:-31px;
    }

    Hi Ken

    To replace the background image in the customise section go to theme > hover over active theme and click the spanner > background

    To add the full screen slideshow I followed the instructions in this thread: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=238292

    Thanks Andy. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me in Chrome or FF in W7. I tried adjusting the margin to different heights but the icons stay in the exact same position no matter what number I use.

    Did you put that in your Theme's Advanced | Custom CSS or somewhere else? It looked pretty good to me in Firebug on your site using -55px. You may also want to shrink the bottom margin of your footer, etc. to get rid of the vertical scrolling altogether.
