Removing Keywords in Organiser

When I nominate to remove a specific word that is only PART of another existing keyword, it removes that word and the comma or semi-colon before it, which then makes the balance of the original keyword combine with the prior-listed keyword.
For example, if I had the following keyword list:
animals, black bats, flying, wing
...and I wanted to remove the black part from 'black bats', it removes the preceding comma, as well as 'black', making the new keyword list into:
animals bats, flying, wing
Which is obviously not a great result, given that a keyword of 'animals bats' makes no sense.
