Multimax Location?

Just got my multimax's today and wondering about the best location in relation to flash and pack. First experience with radio slaves :wink.

I'm using Canon 580 & 550's with the CP_E3 battery packs. Can the multimax be mounted to the battery pack without interference problems?

Also, the manual stated for best results keep the trans. and rec. multimax antenna parallel. How much effect does shooting perpendicular really make?

How are you connecting the MultiMAx to the 580's? Are you using the MultiMax's hot shoe or a cord??

I just tape mine to the light stand for using studio electronic flash. Duct tape seems to work. I have not worried about the direction of the antennae. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.:Dne_nau.gif

Purchased the Paramount "female hot-shoe to miniphone" cord ( http://www.paramountcords.com/proddetail.asp?prod=PW%2DMHSF1&cat=85 ) to connect the PW to flash.

Your PW's came with loops. Use the loop to hang the PW off of the flash.

If you want "best" performance, parallel antennas. But honestly, it'd be ok
if they're not. I would be more concerned about the antenna being parallel
to AC (like a power supply cord).
