Prints of artwork - sizes and paper?

Both my parents and my daughter are artists, I got the photo talent in the family (at least I hope I have some talent). We are considering selling prints of their work. We set up a studio arrangement and got some great looking shots of their work, we are waiting for some test prints to arrive.
Are there other artists that distribute their work this way? What about odd size paintings and printing? Would we order a print for the longest dimension and be left with a whit margin on the other sides? We are also interested about textured art paper prints like canvas.
Any info on selling prints of art would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
