I posted a shot of some butterfly eggs a couple of days ago. That was a single frame.
I did however, take a series of frames with the 100mm and a full set of ext. tubes with a view to stacking. I must admit, I've never really bothered with stacking as a few earlier attempts have resulted in major failure .
This time though, I actually seemed to manage it. Each egg was probably about 1mm in height.
Image quality isn't the best and there are some blown highlights but I think that's going to be down to requiring a re-position of light as the ext. tubes do push the front element quite far forward. Have to admit, I'm quite pleased with this result though.
