Migrating my home page to the new SM?

Does anyone know if there is a way to easily migrate my original homepage settings that I used CSS to create back a number of years ago? I kind of like the way I have it now. I have a featured gallery, gallery categories (by year) and what used to be Google Maps, but is now merely Mapquest showing a now imperfect set of points representing geographic location of galleries. Thank you.

I just went through migrating mine. The short answer is you'll pretty much need to leave your old customizations behind. The new templating system is vastly different that even if you could preserve your custom CSS, it likely wouldn't work.

It took me about a week's worth of fiddling to fine tune mine, and it looks nothing like it used to. I was getting frustrated at first as I was trying to do exactly what you are proposing. But once I decided to part ways with the past, I ended up with a completely new look that I now prefer over my old site. You'll read quite a few complaints about some thing that are buggy or quirky -- and there are a few times you'll reach a dead end (e.g.: custom JavaScript is no longer supported), but if you take advantage of the strengths of the new system (e.g.: beautiful rendering on mobile devices) you may find yourself moving away from your old design as well.

That said, you can keep all of your old organization, although categories are now treated as folders that you can nest several levels deep (Finally!), and the new tool makes it easier than ever to manage your galleries. There is a built-in map widget (I haven't tried it) that may fix your Mapquest layout.

Feel free to have a look at mine to see if you will like the new direction: http://www.jclarkephoto.com.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks. Not complaining, just trying to save myself some work. I don't exactly enjoy attempting to write code.
