nyx theme : how to increase width of left menu sidebar

I find my menu sidebar a little small.
Can i increase its width for instance by 10-20% and keep logo, menu and social icons centered horizontally ?
please explain slowly, no idea where html and css are hidden in new smugmug :-)
by the way, very strange the way logo is centered.
first i needed to delete the logo text because image doesn't replace text tab but overwrites so you see a part of logo text.
and for centering, instead of automatically centered or instead of having a left margin/padding to fine tune the position you have astrange menu "above, left, right, below text" which seems to move the logo image clockwise around a ghost text and finally is not well centered
