Is sort by Caption Broken - or me?

I can't get sort by caption to work as I expect.
This gal is set to sort by caption but is coming out semi random ...

'Organise Site' has bugs Alan, there are a few threads around reporting various problems with sorting images. The powers that be have acknowledged this and are working on getting it fixed. Do your photos look as they should in the Gallery but out of sync in the organizer?

Thanks for the reply. No they look the wrong order in both the Gal and the organizer - but wrong in the same way I think.

I'm going to try and republish the lot from my Lightroom set to see if this fixes it.
The lightroom smugmug plugin has gone through a few iterations.

I also think there is some SM confusion between "Caption" and "Title" -
the image properties at SM show my Titles in an SM "Title" field and these appear to be displayed "on mouse over" on the image but it does not really make sense to have an SM option to sort by "Caption" - I think they mean sort by Title.

LPC, the issues in the sorting within the organizer have been fixed. Can you let me know if it works better for you now?

I tried manually sorting several galleries and in every case what was shown in the organizer was what showed up in the gallery view.

Yikes ... It really is sorting by caption and not by title !

This is very silly in my view, photographs can have both a caption and a title...

I view the ability to sort by "Caption" slightly silly, but to not be able to sort by the "Title" is ridiculous. Sorting by title is far more useful if not essential compared to sorting by caption which I consider more a free text description.

I'll raise this as a feature request or new thread or something.

PS - My apologies for raising this in the first place I just considered "Sort by Caption" really meant Title - I still can't believe this!

I can see it now, the new sort will be by Title and not caption. I'm not going to through thousands of photo
and move the top part of the caption up to the title. If it's added keep the option "sort by caption" also.
