Add Ability to Copy Pages

Please add the ability to make a copy of a page. This would be extremely helpful for setting up a template page that could be copied from client to client and then customized, rather than rebuilding the page entirely for each client.

I've looked, and asked, and this seemingly simple features appears to be missing from the new SmugMug.

Yes...I've created several pages and it's very frustrating to have to re-create the same common features multiple times.

The idea's been around in one earlier thread, in a slightly different form. See http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=239717, which led to http://feedback.smugmug.com/forums/17723-smugmug/suggestions/4341215-allow-for-users-to-edit-all-pages-in-customizati. Other than having it flagged as "submitted", nothing has happened. Since this one's on the short list of missing/broken features I'm watching (maybe at about #4 on the list), I'm glad to see others highlight it too. -- Jim Ringland, jtringl.smugmug.com

I'm getting dizzy following all the threads & votes on this same topic.

The devil on my oneshoulder says "just fix it already" while the angel on my other says "I'm sure they're working hard on it". How about it SM, what say you on this issue?

I would love this feature and it'd be way easier to implement than a user-driven template system. It'd even still be useful after a user-template system was introduced.

If it takes too long for this to come out, I think I'll just add this feature myself

Go for it, :-) I can't unveil until I build several dozen folders or pages and it makes little sense to hard code each one when I want the same look and feel for all of them.

I totally agree. I hate to complain since there have been so many improvements, but this is one of my major sticking points with ease-of-use when customizing. I have 4 pages with identical layouts that include several links built into the text, and was horrified at the time I had to spend re-creating the page. Sigh.

I agree, it is just so tedious Creating new Gallerys, if we could copy Blank Gallerys and blank Folders it would make it so much easier for the many Multi Gallery events I attend that all have the Same Basic Structure

I'm currently designing a different way to display some of my best work. How I want to do it:

Main Site>Top Folder>Secondary Folder set to display pages>Pages displaying one image>lightbox.

After playing around, I have the structure in place. The ONLY downside to this is I'll have to create each page from scratch. I may just put this on hold until we have the ability to create page templates, and can then copy them.

Here's a test page as an example.

Has this been implemented yet? I don't see a way to do it . . . if it's possible, will someone point me in the right direction? (And if it's not, here's my +1 for the idea!)
