    Looks like an airbrushed mural on the side of a surf shot, or a van, or a a surfboard, I expect to see a hang ten logo somewhere. Is this some sort of Orton effect-type effect?

    I'm glad you perceive it that way kolibri, as an illustrative look is what I intended. The effect is created in LR then PSE using lighting adjustments and a layer or two with blur and blending modes applied.
    I'm thinking the composition would have been improved with an object/element of interest in the foreground, however, my wife was waiting (ever) patiently in the running car, so I snapped and ran deal.gif
