HTML Content Block rewriting code

Problem: I created a blog using pages and HTML content blocks. I entered and formatted text via html and css. The text displayed as I wanted it. The next day the text formatting had changed. I looked in the HTML content block and discovered that in every paragraph containing a link or links, the system had removed my closing </p> tag and placed it immediately before the first <a> tag. I tried to redo some of the paragraphs but when I do it has no effect on the text displayed and when I reopen the HTML content box the </p> tag has been moved again to a position immediately before the first <a> tag.
You can see how the posts originally looked here: http://www.photographybyolli.com/Blog/July-2013 on the second entry for 23 July titled, Irritating Flappy Mirror Woman. You can see the problem I have described in every paragraph containing a link in every other post on that page.
I also used an HTML content box on my About page, but the paragraph on that page that contains links has not yet been affected. (http://www.photographybyolli.com/About)
I also noticed the same issue on Michael Bonocore's site in his blog section: http://www.mb-photography-sf.com/Blog/How-Social-Media-Saved-My-Dogs
Again, check the paragraphs with links to see the issue.
Technical: Windows 8 on PC. Checked on FF v22, Chrome v28 and IE10

However, even if this solves the immediate problem, it doesn't resolve the underlying problem with using the <p> tag in conjunction with <a> tags.
