Remove the word "private" from the navbar

In the old site I put all of my webstuff in hidden galleries. I am continuing that practice with the new site as I don't want the pages to show up in the galleries. Because they are in a hidden folder, I assume that is the reason, my prices tab displays as "prices (private)". My guest book shows as "Guestbook (unlisted)".

Is the (private) and (unlisted) indeed showing because of the location of the page? If so where do I put them so that they do not show up to the public in a gallery folder?

In the organizer I placed my pages directly under my user name. They are not in a folder, just floating free. I hope I don't make too many as it will get "messy."

Private galleries or pages only show to you as the logged on user.

Unlisted galleries only show to viewers if you give them the direct URL.

Unlisted galleries aren't visible on your SmugMug homepage and aren't included in search engines. You can give your friends a direct link to find your gallery, like:

http://cmac.smugmug.com/SmugMug/Fanatical-customers/152400_HYYCN

The code at the end of that link is required for visitors to be able to open your unlisted gallery.

Private Galleries/Pages/Folders are TOTALLY private. They can ONLY be accessed by the logged in owner of the site. There is not a way to share a Private gallery.

To add to what Denise said, when you view your new site as a visitor (not logged in) you will not see the Unlisted tag next to the menu item. Those are links (which I'm assuming you set up) to take you to those pages, and it includes that notation in the menu when you link to an unlisted gallery. I've noticed on my new site - my Guestbook and a couple of other pages in my menu are unlisted, and here's what it looks like...
