Page load issues

Has anyone noticed their page load THEN the slideshow load moving the page content around?
Mine does every time regardless of browser/ computer/ network.
Old SM used to have the splash image as a place holder until the show loaded... with NEW SM the splash image is loading after the rest of the page not w/ the page.

    I have noticed the same, my site loads and then the slide show. I'm okay with it though, the performance of the new SmugMug is good.
