Favorites in new Smug: indicator color not changing

I sent this to the heroes yesterday, but my bride is anxious to see her photos and until I figure this out I'm afraid she'll be confused and frustrated.

I'm a pro using the "Moss" theme.

I am obviously talking about an "event" below though I don't specifically say that.
With the new smugmug designs, favorites is no longer user friendly. Or I'm missing something :)

I just uploaded my first gallery since the switch and went to test how this now works before notifying the bride her photos are up.

Previously the white heart under a photo turned red when you selected it as a favorite.

Now when you click it the heart does not change color (although while pressed, I believe it turns white, but then reverts to gray when released), and you can't actually tell if it was registered or not unless you go back and look at your favorites list.

The selection does work, but because you cannot tell you actually fav'd the photo, you end up clicking multiple times hoping to see some sort of visual feedback. At that point you have no idea if you actually fav'd the photo or not.

Thanks for any help!

    Hero replied:
With the theme you have selected, the accent color is set to grey, which is the color the heart will turn when selected. If you want to change the color, go to CUSTOMIZE < THEME < ACTIVE THEME < WRENCH ICON < ACCENT COLOR < DONE < PUBLISH NOW.

However that changes all the accent color elements. I only want the heart icon to change.

Hero now says on follow up that it is not possible to change the favorite icon color by itself. Seriously? Who thought that was a good idea?

I really need to maintain my color scheme as set in the theme, but have the favorite actually be noticeable.

Anyone got a piece of CSS?
