No Footer?

Hopefully not a stupid question- the footer option in customize seemed to disappear about two days ago. Is that because I now have CSS/HTML on the page? Previously there was some bugs with my footer not centering, so I thought maybe they were redoing that option. Can't find any info on the support threads so....am I missing something?:dunno

Are you in the 'entire site' view? Different views change the content. The footer should still be there, but if not can you post a screenshot of your bug so we can better assist you?

The screenshots are helpful, but too small for me to make out the content blocks that are in use. That's OK, you can try something for me. The content blocks that are being used on 'Entire Site' or 'Homepage' should be the ones in your footer. If they are not, then try to add content blocks again. The first few times I played around with the site, I'd had this happen to me too. Once I added the blocks back and then published my changes, I was OK. Try that and let me know. If you click on the content blocks under 'Entire Site' and 'Homepage', they will automatically light up on the page so you can be sure the footer is missing content or the content is a true glitch and not showing up despite being an active content block.

You have the footer turned off. Go to Customize, then in the top admin bar, click settings and set the footer back to "On"

Moving this to the Support forum.

Is this solution different based upon themes? My footer is set to 'off', but displays correctly.

I thought he meant the SmugMug footer but it looks like he created a custom footer via an HTML/CSS block...but that block is empty. You will need to recreate it in Customize---Entire Site

Thought so. That's why I requested your clarification just in case my suggestion was incorrect. I'd figured the content had inadvertently been altered. I've experienced a few cases of 'Houdini' content blocks that are no longer present upon saving. Happened again tonight. ne_nau.gif

Sorry about that! Keep in mind, if this happens, you could revert to your last published state.

No worries, I expect a few bugs with such a profound overhaul. This bug is often while using Customize and upon saving. There is no retrieving content from reverting to the last published state due to the new content not yet being published. Currently, I copy everything over to Microsoft OneNote for backup as I work just in case.
