Deleted multiple Galleries with 1 click in New Organizer

So, I was doing some clean up to my folders and I didn't like the structure I set up and planned to move things around and create some new folders and remove others... So I began with accidentally deleting a folder that contained most of my Galleries. From the Organizer if you have a folder selected and you happen to click the trash can that folder will be deleted without warning that the contents will be deleted as well.. I assume the images are still somewhere, but the connection to them is now lost. I have sent a note to SmugHeroes. I'm hopeful that there is copy somewhere... It was so quick an easy to delete the folder I would assume that I wasn't the first and won't be the last... there needs to be a dialogue box before deletion if the folder contains images.

Usually when you delete a folder on legacy site the galleries within them do not get deleted but
are moved to the "Other" category. Check there for the galleries.

I deleted two folders last night and was prompted for confirmation before they were deleted. If I deleted any folder on my hard drive I would expect the contents to go away, but there should be a conformation window, and there is.

thank you... I somehow thought they would default into the Other folder and went to start building new smart galleries and the photos were no longer showing up!

The good news is that photos that I've linked to on my blog http://douglassandquist.com that were in that deleted folder still show up there. So the photos are still there and it's entirely possible that there was a diaglogue box I clicked to confirm the deletion but I have no recollection of clicking a confirmation button. I remember clicking the trash can and went to immediately started trying to build smart galleries..

Under further review some images are showing up and others are not on the linked pages.

Can you let me know if those folders are back? How many did you accidentally delete?

Yep easy to do. Why they made THAT a simple thing and not other tasks is beyond me.

I must be missing something here... I deleted a folder again, last night, while in the organizer, and it prompted me for confirmation before deleting. Are you guys saying that prompt is not happenig for you?

Hi Michael,

I believe there were 12-15 galleries in that folder. I am still missing my Railway Galleries and all my Project 365 Galleries from the past 2.5 years. So I'm missing ~7 Galleries. I am able to access the rest from the Collections link on my site.

And some of the 12-15 that was deleted was in a folder inside the deleted folder and I'm able to access some of the galleries that were in that folder, but have to do so directly they won't show up.

One note the images and galleries that have returned show up on my main site, but they don't show up in the Organizer.

I just realized that my note to the Heroes probably didn't go through yesterday, So i resubmitted a help request...

The Heroes were able to restore my lost galleries... All is back to normal now.
