Events. Can we control their appearance?

I have setup a client's galleries:

And now here is their Event, for the same galleries:

http://photos.fernandogonzalez.net/event/OKeefe/8ksjQ816TgwWg

They look different. I want the event to look the same as the layout in my 1st link.

Is there a way to control the appearance of events so it matches the folder view of the galleries?

I'd like to as well but don't know of a way to do so. I did submit a feature request to improve the navigation while in Customizer and I think this would fit well into that request.
