same gallery in two folders?

I posted a question about this just before the new thread was created and I can't find my old post any more.

I want to have each of my event galleries (real events that I went and did photographic coverage of, not some specialized smugmug use) show up in three folders, one by time, one by place, and one by type of event.

So, for example, Earth Day 2010 would appear in the events/2010 folder as well as the events/Columbia folder and the events/earth_day folder.

I presume I could create smart galleries, but since the organizer is so slick, isn't there a way to do it there with a simple drag and drop? Certainly would be a time saver.
