I've noticed there are a few members from the San Francisco Bay area. Anyone a member of a local photography group? I'm interested in local outings on the weekends.

If there is nothing available, I'd be interested in an outing w/ fellow members. Let me know if your interested.

I'm in San Francisco.

    Sounds great.

How long will you be in town?

I found a Bay Area Photography group. So far, so good. Weekend outings and message board. Small group, mostly Nikon owners. Nice people

That sounds interesting. I have mixed emotions about following your example. On the one hand, I'm sure it's a great learning experience. On the other, I'm so comfortable shooting on my own, I wonder how I'd react shooting with others.

Shooting with others can be a lot of fun. I like to get out with someone else every few weeks. Its more about making new friends and sharing ideas than anything else. My outings usually involve a good meal, taking some pictures, having a few drinks. Like you, I enjoy outings alone and seem to do my best work. Its one of the few times I spend alone and get to clear my head.
