Is there some code for a drop shadow for the galleries and the folders, seems like I saw it earlier but can't find it. Thanks.

Thanks Frank, It works on most of my galleries and ALL of my folders. I also have been able to give them the round corners...now would like to apply the shadow and round corners to my slideshow on the homepage. I've seen it at www.lostonmarsphotography.com and thought it looked awesome. Thanks again.
Try this:

I tried this. I get the shadow on the right side but can't get it to show on the bottom. I tried changing the margins in the slideshow but no luck. Any ideas
Thanks
Vic
The first parameter on box-shadow is the horizontal px, which is what you are not showing. I made mine 8px. The example given in the link above has it set to 0. http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_box-shadow.asp
Have a look at the slides on my homepage
Got it working Mike, Thank you. Got a few tweaks left and probably unveil shortly !
Glad it worked.

Well, as you can see, mine works with that code. Can you cut/paste all the code in that CSS block? Is the code in homepage section? Anything above it in entire site?
.sm-gallery-thumbnail .sm-tile {
margin: 0 0 32px 32px;
box-shadow: 8px 7px 5px #888;
}
Using Collage Landscape.
Using Safari Browser.
Any thoughts?

I tried removing it as you instructed. No change at all. I wonder why it's not working?

you can try other browsers to see if it works there , its free
it works in Firefox
or else wait for one of the experts

Looks like my attempt at inserting this code was not quite the success I had hoped for. Even in Firefox, it doesn't work for me, and not only that, but it appears that my 'rounded corners' don't show up in FF either.
Oh well, back to the drawing board!

both the shadows and the corners on your images and galleries are present on my screen
( Firefox on Windows 8 )
i suggest you look at your PC first , prior to your "drawing board" .

I will. Thanks for checking it on your system. So far, nothing to indicate a problem with my iMac, but it is puzzling that it doesn't show up on it.

i was more thinking of graphic card
> driver or settings or something

Ah, ok. I understand. Thanks.
If anyone knows any reason a 2012 27" iMac with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024 MB graphics won't display the drop shadows in any browser, please let me know.

Anyone have any ideas, based on the last couple of posts? Don't think it's my graphics card.

Yes. I can see the drop shadow as a gray colored shadow on the screenshots. Yet, when I look at my page directly, they don't show.
Thank you, again, for taking the time to look at this. I'm all out of ideas. Not one of the three browsers I use shows the shadows.

Thanks, Mike. I just rechecked it on my work computer, using FF as well, and the shadow is there, so I guess my iMac is the only thing keeping me from seeing it. Which is weird, because it's new, and I can't see the shadows in Safari, FF, or Chrome on it.
Much appreciate the feedback!

Any chance you know how to add a shadow to the gallery and folder thumbs but NOT the thumbs in the smugmug type galleries?
Not off-hand. I use the Thumbnail galleries on my site. I also don't use the standard SM Galleries/Folders.

Thanks for looking anyway. I have been bumping that question w/o any reply for a few days now.
I don't see you using the Smugmug Gallery format, unless I'm missing something.
