Keyword dashes

Dashes are not allowed in keywords although many have asked for this. In the NewSmug I do not see
anywhere dashes are used? Is this correct or is it behind the scene? Perhaps this would allow the usage
of dashes?

One proposal is allow us to use a non-breaking dash in the keyword. ‑

For those who landed here for Keyword issues, do a DGRIN search for Allen's name for the threads he has commented on or created the thread. Look for the keyword ones. Allen has developed a method to display/clickable ALL your keywords getting rid of the SM limitations. Using that method, he also has dashes in his keywords list. BUT, the original keyword cannot have the dash - per SM. It worked for me! It is an awkward method; so, please SM, give us our keyword requests listed in features and bugs.

We just need the normal dash to be able to be used, to still be visible whenever the photo or keywords are edited, and to remain there throughout. I often copy my keywords from SmugMug to use by pasting on (or in) new photos I'm editing. There are so many hyphenated words in English, and almost every photo has them but I have to then manually write them in since they disappear on SmugMug. It has also caused some awkward situations, which is partly why my keywords aren't visible to the public. What reason is there, SmugMug, for simply losing our hyphens? If every major photo editing program such as PS or LR recognizes them (& they're necessary in some words), why must you lose them?
