[New Smug] Broken HD video playback

Since I upgraded to the new Smugmug all my HD videos looks very bad. In fact there is no difference between playing them @640 or @720/1080. They all look highly pixelated with a very low framerate.
I also tried to upload new HD content but same result. Other users have reported this issue. We need an official answer from Smugmug. This is very embarrassing especially when you have ddroped you Vimeo paid account because Smugmug could previously play video just as good.

PS: I tried with both Firefox and Chromium.
PS2: Surprisingly, when using the official Android Smugmug app on a smartphone, HD videos look gorgeous!
