I had a few text-only pages on my legacy site, but they are not on the new one. Looking in "preview mode" it still had the "no photo" box.

I may be wrong but I seem to remember that in legacy SM you created text only pages by putting text into the description box of a gallery but in new SM there are the new 'Pages' that you can use instead. When you convert the legacy galleries they are converted to new galleries which is why you still see 'no photo' because a gallery needs photos. What you need to do is to create new 'pages' and copy the text from the descriptions of the old galleries.

    At least I think that's what's happening.

Rich is correct, but the "Upload Photos" box won't appear to your visitors after you unveil. But I would still recreate these as "Pages" in the new SM. You will have alot more editing power, and they will be much more easy to manage...plus they will look better.

The "no photo" box shows because the CSS from legacy smug sites does not migrate to the new world.

I'd also recommend changing your HTML-only galleries from the old smug to pages in the new world.
