I've recently signed up for Smugmug, and so far I like what I see, but I'm beginning to get frustrated. First, Smugglr has only transerred about a 1/3 of my photo's from my previous host. The file structures are intact, but the galleries within each folder are not visible when on the site (only when in organize). I learned that I need to have a folder structure another level deep, and from there I can create a gallery that is visible on the site. But I cannot move photo's from the transferred folders to the ones I have created. Make sense??

Could use some help please??

On another note, self-fulfillment for print orders...this feature is lacking, and I may not stay around because of it. Anyone have any experience with the shipping/import/duties associated with Canadian orders??

Can you let me know what host you are coming from?

I'm currently 6 levels deep in the organize, but yet I cannot see a photo when I'm on the site. This is beginning to get incredibly frustrating, and I'm about ready to not bother with the switch. grrrr...

Can you give us a link to your SmugMug site? And what you mean by not seeing photos when on the site? We will get you squared away!

When I'm on the home page and click the browse (which I've renamed Galleries), it takes me to the next page like it's supposed to. From there I select the Rodeo Proofs Folder, which takes me to the various events. When I select CGRA, the next folder in from there is Silver Slate Arena. I click on silver slate arena, which takes me to the next level, Saturday. I click on Saturday, which is supposedly where the actual photo's should be, but I come up with nothing.

I don't have hours upon hours to rearrange and restructure everything. I don't want my photo's to be so many levels deep...there is nothing more frustrating to me than to have to select and click four or five times to get to a gallery, and I don't want my clients to experience the same frustration.

But the gallery issue aside, unless I can sort out the shipping/duties to Canada from a USA printer, I won't be using Smugmug.

Great, this is perfect information....the 802 photos are there...they are in the Organizer....Let me dig into why they may not show. Thanks!

Here is a link to the gallery, where all the photos are....so it's a way that you have the levels set up....looking.

But it's not...when I click all the way in to the Saturday gallery from the homepage, I get nothing. So I don't know where you're getting the link from, but I've got nothing when I go from the homepage.

Yes, you are correct about it not being there when you follow the route. I got the link from the Gallery Settings , which I located via the Organizer.

Ok, I fixed it for you....So, this is how it works. When you are in Customize, you can see that you have options to customize all folders, or just the folder that you are in. The folders came default to show all folders within the folder you are in (with a "Folders" content block), but there was no "Galleries" content block, so once you reached that last level, there were no more folders to display. I added a "Galleries" content block to all of your folders, so now, when you are in a folder, you will see all of the children items in that folder, both folders and galleries. If you want to delete some of the gallery content blocks from an individual folder, simply click on Customize--->"Make this Folder Custom" and then delete the gallery block within that folder. Hope this helps!
