Bulk gallery settings?

Is there a way implement bulk gallery settings in new smugmug? For example, I would like to turn off embedding and sharing in all of my galleries, but the only way I see how is to go into each gallery and tick off the settings which ticks me off! I could swear there was a way to do this in the legacy smugmug.

In "Organize" select a folder of galleries, click "select all" and then "settings" brings up Bulk Gallery Settings.

It's only one folder at a time but it's better than doing the galleries one-by-one.

    Hope that helps.

Yes, I tried the Bulk Gallery Settings to change a few items - went into my "Trains" folder and selected all galleries and brought up the "bulk settings" but everything is "greyed-out" and no settings are available to change at all - am I doing something wrong or does it simply not work?ne_nau.gif

They are greyed out until you tick the box on the left of the feature you want to change. At that time it becomes selectable.

Brilliant! Thanks for that - hadn't tried ticking the boxes - what an idiot!

However, I've now ticked the box to "allow likes" but still no "like" button appears on any of the galleries, presumably, I'm still doing something stupid...

    Cheers, Geoff

Just to confirm that when you've unveiled, the "Like" icon (and "Like" text, it you've added it with CSS) only show when you're logged out. If you click it in order to "like" a photo it changes colour (to the "Accent Colour" that's set in "Edit Theme", I think) and it stays like that so that you can tell if you've already "liked" that pic. It doesn't "toggle", clicking it again doesn't undo the "like" action or "like" it even more. Indeed, I don't think SM has any facility to undo a "like". Hope that helps.

Thanks Allen and beardedgit, it seems I won't find out for sure then until I've unveiled the new site - I'm having enough trouble though with the "like" button, let alone any "like" text!

    Cheers, Geoff
