I would recommend one of the LOWE PRO packs...depending on your needs...it you are in and around water alot then I would look at a DRYZONE if not then one of the all weather (AWll) packs would work....the AWll series have nice water proof cover that will also keep out dust such also.....I have looked at a lot of pack systems and LOWE PRO is my choice...but then I abuse my gear alot, so I need the best i can afford. It is soprt of like an insurance policy.

Since there is not much of a price difference between the 2, I would opt for the LOWE PRO DRYZONE....as it is completely totally waterproof and it will float if dropped into a stream or lake.......if your seriously considering the kata...then again I would opt for a LOWE PRO AWll (all weather design..with cover that is stored in the bottom of bag and will covr gab to keep out rain, snow and blowing dust) series....LOWE PRO served me well in my travels across the Czech Republic and the padding in the LOWE PRO system is very substantial.....I have looked at Canon, tenba,tamrack..etc and have not found a bag system that I feel is as good as the LOWE PRO systems.......IMHO.

I'd suggest doing a search for bags on this site. nod.gif

What you're getting is a bunch of answers based on others personal experience, only your not getting all the background. I've posted pretty full reviews of at least 2 different bags.

    Go forward and search!

I have a few Lowepro bags they make a very nice bag.
I have the Kata 103 backpack also and imho the Kata is much more padded
Now I not saying it's a better bag just more padding.
It also has the rain/heat shield too.
Kata bag might sink if you throw it in the river the Lowepro would not.

Go to your local camera store and see what fits you
You might find that one bag will not fill your needs.
    I have 2 backpacks I use both
I have 3 shoulder I use all 3 but mostly the Domke

    And...what DoctorIt said...

I have a similar setup (not as many lenses) plus a laptop computer. I was in Manhattan, and had time to run by B&H, to check out all the bags. I spent probably two hours stuffing things in and out of bags. I ended up with the LowePro Computrekker AWS. Great bag, very well built. Plenty of room for all my gadgets. I have two bodies, lenses, flash and room for a point and shoot. I like the fact that the zippers are covered for the weather, and that on the bottom, there is a separate pull out weather cover, to completely protect your gear and bag in a bad weather.

I use the Tamrac Cyber 8.

It will hold enough for a complete day of shooting sports including extra lens.
It will hold a lot more than you would ever imagine.
