Lightroom Plugin Bug with Titles on Republish

I finally figured out at least part of what is going on with my titles. At least one thing.
Scenario:
Brand new image with title "Title" and caption "Caption".
Put into publish collection, and publish -- comes out correctly in Smugmug.
Now without changing the title or caption or anything else in either Lightroom or Smugmug, mark the image in lightroom for republish (or change something that does). Publish.
The caption in Smugmug still says "Caption" but the title is now blank -- it has been deleted. No title.
If you cause the republish by making an actual change, e.g. adding a keyword, the Title does not disappear. It is only if you mark an image to republish WITHOUT changes.
Because I have so many screwed up captions and titles at Smugmug from this change, I was doing a mass upload. They are right in Lightroom, so mostly I was just republishing -- and then they became wrong on Smugmug. Yuck.
I think there's a bit more to the story as well, but the above appears 100% reproducible. I'm on Windows 8 x 64, Lightroom 5.0, and plugin 2.0.2.1.
If someone else has time to try this, please do.
