Smugmug Gallery Style: New Caption & Pagination Issue

It seems that overnight (Aug. 22) Smugmug designers have added nav arrows to the left and right of the image numbers. OK, fine, good idea. However, they take up too much space. I've tweaked my captions area considerably. However, the new nav arrows now crowd things too much. Please examine the area below and right of the images at http://jamesfarrell.smugmug.com/Site-Pages/The-West-and-Southwest-Parks/GrandTetonNP - while I can 'move' the caption to the right a little, I don't want to reduce the caption size or position. Instead, I would like to reduce the blank space between the nav arrows and the image number. See my attached image blow. Moreover, I'd like the nav arrows to stand out more (be bolder). Any CSS ideas?

They need to redesign the whole caption area. I added this request to give them some idea
what could be done.

I don't disagree, but don't mind in my case... we can tighten up the box that's pushing them apart:

.sm-gallery-smugmug .sm-gallery-image-totals

  min-width:0px !important;
}

This worked for me to help reduce the spaces between the < >'s. Thanks!

It really doesn't matter for me either, but it looks worlds better. Now if we can only replace that awful down arrow under the thumbs with some real page selection.
