I posted something in onother thread, but I guess this is the right place:
I'd like to use somme of the exif data as keywords.
For example, exif has "country", "city"... etc data that could be very usefull to sort picts with..
As I use LR for my picctures, I don't want to have theese informations in two fields, it would redendant!
Any advice?

There are DAMs or scripts out there which writes those IPTC location data to images IPTC / XMP "keyword" field, which SM is able to extract.
I'll check what can be donne in LR or in SM for the best use of them!
If you are used to scripting, respectively starting tools from command lines with parameters, you can use EXIFtool to write them batched from IPTC location to IPTC keywords for thousands of images in a row.
Just checked this this morning:
I found there is a possibility to add spécial keywords on each publish service set up.
We can chose a token based on many fields like IPTC (what I did not see or understood before).
I tried it with 25 pictures, asking to put {City} and {Country} as special keywords, and it seems that works: I have now thoose keywords at the bottom of the screen in galery view. As keyword list is not updated at once, I'll check the keyword page later (not updated yet).
So:
1. I should have checked that before posting this thread!
2. I'll try that functionality a little more when the keyword indexing thing will go a little faster.
3. I'll let you know if it works fine for other tokens.
Hope that helps!
