This is the First time I'm sharing my work on this forum. This is from 8/20 at Antelope Island, Great Salt Lake, Utah. I'm facing north to Fremont Island and Promontory Mountains behind it.

Specs: Canon 7D|ISO100|F22|10S and a 2S GND Filter for the sky.

I wanted a longer exposure but at this point the wind was starting to pick up.

What do you think? Yay or Nay?

Nice! Some great stuff on your site as well! Love the shot anchor or whatever that corroded piece of metal is. Never been to GSL, even though I have been to many places in Utah! This is a great motivation to do so next time I get to go there!

I highly recommend going to the Great Salt Lake. Visit Salt Air and Antelope Island and Spiral Jetty. It's best to go when there are some clouds in the sky.

Yay. That would look great as a big print, methinks.

I think it might work better cropping out the lower 1/4, not because I'm a slave to the rule of thirds, but because to my eye, the brown (the sandy bottom?) is distracting.

I saw this at work and thought I liked it, but I wanted to look at it on my calibrated monitor at home. I like it even more. Very nice. kolibri's suggestion hadn't occurred to me but I think it's a good one.

I'm glad you like it even more on a Calibrated monitor! That makes me feel good!

Love those Blue heron's! I've seen them here and there but they are the hardest bird to get near I've ever seen. Very nice animals!
