CSS codes reduced to a horizontal line of text -- Reference comments also gone

Hi,
I'd like to report that in my CSS block ("Entire Site"), I'd noticed that *all* of my previous codes were squashed into a big horizontal line of text, with no spacing, and my reference comments were gone.

I'd logged in and found it exactly like that. I made no changes the last time I was in there.

I used my back-up codes to re-paste, but can this issue be investigated?

Here's the discussion thread:

Thanks! :-)

Same happened here, one line. Had it all saved in a text file so pasted in again also.

Got all my CSS sections saved in text file.

Noticed strange things happening today, lost two other pages with galleries. Pages there but blank.

I lost an html box and did not have the html saved for that one. Did nothing but the page got borked somehow.

What? HTML too? Oh geez, I'd better check...

The thing is too is that even if the bug is fixed, would our stuff instantly re-appear as it was before? I have a feeling not, and we may have to paste everything back in anyway as we've been doing already.
I'd feel bad for anyone who hasn't saved theirs...

This seems like it should be elevated to an EMERGENCY at Smug ti fix.

Actually, although I've certainly seen this minifying behaviour in the past, I tried it again and I couldn't get it to happen for me! My CSS block even retained my comments, which I haven't seen work before.

I wonder if it's the specific code that does it, can you paste some code here that reproduces the problem for you?

I've lost a html box on at least 87 different folder pages including my guestbook.

Wow, 87 independent pages? Was it still there, but empty? What was the code inside, perhaps SmugMug's HTML validator removed it as invalid code?

I added a screen shot to the post here.
    http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=239479

HTML box on top of folder box. Both boxes lost on the screen shot page.
All the others only lost the top html box. At least the ones I checked.
These have been working for weeks. One of the first things I did after migration.

WOW, every one these pages have lost the "make this page custom".

All my CSS has changed to one line and lost comments. Going to make customization very difficult.

Hopefully you can get the attention of the SmugMug dev team and they can investigate this for you. Be sure not to publish any changes if you open these pages in the customiser, because that might make this messup permanent if it isn't already.

Not only that but every one of these folders was custom from using "make this folder custom". That was
lost and it asks me again to do that.

I understand that this is because CSS blocks are minified, rendering them virtually unmaintainable. Please see this thread:

That would probably lose the HTML boxes. It would just treat each folder the same and lose individual customisation for that folder.

    Also, what the hell. :bash

Has this been fixed? I'm just wondering what I need to save somewhere else along the way if/when I start this process.... as far as I can tell, you're all talking about CSS you added after the switch to the New Smug, right?

I think this has been fixed about 3-4 days ago. Any CSS blocks added before the fix are still squashed and need to be re-edited, but new blocks added after the fix should be fine.
