Beautiful shots Jake. I like the family shot the best. We don't get to see the Loons like this in Florida. They are drab and gray when here.

Thanks! We are lucky that we see them in their breeding plumage. I'm not sure I would even recognize them in their drab gray colors.

I like the family shot best, too. We had one Loon this winter, but it was definitely in its drab gray plumage. In fact, my first thought when I saw your photos is that I must have misidentified our bird. Nice photos, and a very steady hand! Best, Pam

I liked Rippled Reflections. The green patterns in the water are a nice background for the bird.

Love to see the loons when visiting my Dad's home town up in Vermont. The sound the loons make is so soothing. These are good photos.
