Contact - Power account

Greetings,

I am changing to "Power" account. In the good ol' days, I could direct a visitor to "contact me by clicking 'contact' at the bottom of any page".

It appears that that now links to the SM contact page.

How do I most efficiently direct visiting viewers on how to contact me?

TIA

Like on my website you could create a menu item that links to your contact page. For the contact page you need your profile to be configured with email and such things. More details can be found here...

And as another option if you wish you can just put a mail-to in either a text or html block (as on the bottom of mine). This depends on the users' (not your) browser being set up to call their proper email client of course, as opposed to using Smugmug's email system, so it's a quite different link.

If you're using the new smug you still have access to the contact form as it is available to power users there.

If you're still on legacy smugmug you might consider using a Wufoo or Jotform contact form. Search the Legacy customization forum for information.

phaser - great - that'd be a great way to do it but what I see from SM in the Advanced Site-wide Customization does not match the path you were kind enough to write.

fergeson - good idea - I might just sprinkle it in the captions or something...until I figure out how to navigate...maybe eventually follow your suggestion (nice pics, btw)

denise - Power user (I think; if it has not changed already, that's what I'll be after the 25th) I think there is some new formatting because some of the customization dialog looks new to me - of course it's been years since I did anything....I wonder where I find the access to the contact form?

Thanks all - SM and you all ROCK

Have you migrated your site to the new smugmug yet or are you still on legacy?
    • The contact form is only available for portfolio and business accounts in legacy smug.
    • It is available to power accounts as well in the new smug. It is available as an entry in the menu element.

I had no Idea ~I~ had anything to do with the migration. So, if it's something I have to do, no, I have not done such a thing yet.

hmmmmmm - I wonder where to start such a migration...

I saw something under "easy customizer" and there was a message in red that read "The theme you have set for your homepage may be affecting your customization." I did not stop long enough to figure out what that was or why that mattered.

    So, I gotta migrate?

UPDATE - I have been given a link that explains that I DO have to initiate migration - and what to do. No problem. I was just ignorant of this fact.

    Thanks!
