    The only way I've seen so far to do that is make each one custom and add it via an HTML or Text box. That is a pain, but if you don't have a lot of folders it may be manageable.

    +1 to this!

    I'd love to be able to add descriptions to folders, and for the folder description to be a content block that I can add to my site like all others - as part of the standard theme, or for a customised page. Like a 'Folder Text' that can be specified in the theme as 'From Current'.

    This should ideally apply for pages and galleries too!
