In the old Smug layout, I had colored, clickable links in some of my photo details that lead viewers to other gallery pages. I don't seem to have that capability now..can someone tell me how to do it?
I have colored links at the end of my home page that work fine but can't get them to work in the photo details. Thanks

CSS in the theme applies to the entire site.

Is there a way to make the links appear in color so people know they can click them and be redirected to another page?

Looks like CSS needs to be added to the "Folder" but since it's just one folder....what code do I need?

I've also been trying to get coloured links in the captions but as far as I can determine it is not possible to change the colour of the text with HTML tags although the other properties can be changed.
By default the link in the caption is highlighted (as are the links in the gallery description) as shown at the bottom of this caption in this link. I should add that according to my theme the highlight colour should be green but it comes in as white so I don't know what is happening there.

This is an older entry and I am now in the process of adding text to the link and populating the title field. The link below shows the raw link replaced by a highlighted Additional photos.
http://paultavares.smugmug.com/Wildlife/Wildflowers/WON/i-PSt6gZS
This is the HTML I added to the caption
<br />
<span style="line-height:150%"><a href=http://paultavares.smugmug.com/Wildlife/Wildflowers/WON1/i-k2mPHtv>Additional photos</a></span>
The <br> for line breaks is needed once you introduce HTML into the caption. Try cutting and pasting this into your caption. Replace additional photos with Email me. For the link use the link to your contact page. In the span" ", you can also change the text to italics, change font size, font type etc except font colour.
Hope this gives you some ideas
Good Luck

I like what you've done with yours. The highlight is apparent, and lets the viewer know you can click it.

You need to place your CSS into the THEME's CSS customization ... not into a CSS block on a specific page. To do that:
- Click on Customize --> Customize Site.
- Select "Entire Site" from the menu.
- Click on the "Theme" tab.
- Click the wrench next to your "Active The,e" to Edit your Theme.
- Click on the "Advanced" tab
- Click on "Edit" next to "Custom CSS"
- Paste in the following code and modify as required
(you can also see it at the very bottom of this help page: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1210627-customization-what-themes-can-i-use-)Add this code. Change the colors as appropriate

This is actually a bug. I spoke to a SmugMug Support Hero who confirmed. They should be going back to the Legacy SmugMug way ... in which HTML could be entered into the caption without needing to add <BR>'s all over.
Also, you should really handle this in your Theme's CSS code. No need to do SPAN's all over your captions. Make sure to do it in the "advanced" section of your theme, not in a CSS block.

Thanks Aaron
Much better and simpler way of doing this. I've already changed my CSS. Thanks also for the tweaks thread. I've used quite a few items off of it.
