In the Legacy SM, the structure was Category --> Sub-category --> Gallery -->Image

In the new SM the structure is Folder --> Folder --> Folder --> Folder --> Folder --> Gallery --> image

Can I move a gallery of images from under an existing legacy Category/subcategory to a new Folder in the new Sm without affecting my legacy site?

An example would be to move a gallery 'Backroads - 25 July 2013' under sub-category 'Ontario 2013' under category 'Photography' in my legacy site to a new folder 'Places' created on my new migrated but unveiled SM site.

Would the gallery still be seen on the legacy site as Photography --> Ontario 2013 --> Backroads - 25 July 2013?

Or must I duplicate my existing legacy structure in the new Sm and wait until after I unveil so as not to affect what people will see when they visit my site?

    This would not apply unless you added all those folders.
    In the new SM the structure is Folder --> Folder --> Folder --> Folder --> Folder --> Gallery --> image

    Your legacy site
    Category --> Sub-category --> Gallery -->Image
    Would just be
    Folder --> Folder --> Gallery -->Image
    Each of the first two, Cat, Sub-Cat, you add a folders box, point to the legacy page and pick "current location".

    But I think if you go to /Photography you should see all the sub-cats.
