Rainbow on the Salty Playa, during Sunset, at Great Salt Lake 8/27

The title says it all. But after work I saw the storms west of Antelope and knew there'd be a chance for a rainbow. I'm lucky I got there in time; because I saw the tail end of it forming and within 10 minutes it was gone. I had wanted a better composition but the rain was coming in and lack of time.

Awesome photo. Maybe very small crop at bottom but it's very striking and original as is.

Very nice. Of course, the rainbow's the thing, but what really makes the image for me are the mountains. Blue on the left balanced by the purpleypink on the right, with the rainbow bisecting them.

Very nice composition and capture. Technical perfection is not a prerequisite for art, and cropping to remove blur would change the well chosen geometry you have here and makes this such a beautiful image.

i love the simplicity. great capture and comp. waffling on the crop recs. i like the proportions and balance with the different elements in the picture, so cropping might affect the overall mood. regardless, definitely a keeper.
