My URL name has always been without the www
'expressionsbyjlm.com'
I'm trying to set up the custom URL in smugmug and when I put in my custom domain without the www it tells me that it's not a valid.
"That hostname doesn't appear to be valid. Your hostname needs to be setup using a CNAME record at your domain registrar."
I followed the steps for custom domain and updated my www entry. I don't see a way to update a non-www entry.
what am I missing?

On SM, you *must* input www.yourdomain.com

I think I've followed the steps for the custom domain name. www.expressionsbyjlm.com does indeed point to my SM site now. However expressionbyjlm.com redirects to my SM url: expressionsbyjlm.smugmug.com
I do not see a redirect in my DNS settings for my domain so not sure why that is redirecting that way or how to redirect the non-www to the www.
Then you should have a CNAME on www.expressionbyjlm.com pointing to domains.smugmug.com
This way, whether you enter the www or not should take you to www.expressionbyjlm.com
It's a must to have a www or whatever word before your domain name.
Is that right?
