Vertical menu flyout

I'm using the Turbo theme. My vertical menu flyout is not adopting the same colour and alpha setting as I have specified for the left sidebar itself. This appears to be a bug, unless there is somewhere I need to go to set this separately.

In addition, the flyout overlaps the sidebar, i.e. it does not throw completely clear whereby the left edge of the flyout aligns with the right edge of the sidebar, but throws just far enough to clear wording of the the menu item wording from which the flyout is derived.

These problems are 'bugging' me. Comments please?

In my site-wide CSS I have:

.sm-page-widget-nav-toplink a :hover, .sm-page-widget-nav-toplink a:hover 
{ color: #64E0FF !important;
}

I extracted this from or via a post in New SmugMug Customisation somewhere (I don't recall which, exactly - there are more than one) and matched the hover colour up with my logo.

However, the bug I'm reporting existed before I introduced this code. Do you understand and acknowledge the bug?

I sent this over to my team to take a look at. I will keep you posted. snakeeyes11 (SM Sorcerer) provided this CSS which he thinks should work in getting those to match. Put this in your site wide CSS in the Theme.

Thanks Michael, this is a big improvement. Also please pass on my thanks to snakeeyes11 for his input!

I presume we will see a built-in fix for this in the fullness of time, and I will remain hopeful I can find a way to throw the first flyout clear of the page left margin.

BTW - does anyone know how I can now get rid of the black background that appears as I mouseover menu options in the flyouts, and also remove the black border on the flyout panels - neither of which happen at the menu top level within the page margin?

snakeyes11 is the dev in charge of this, so yes, he will be looking into 'baking' it in.

Try removing the primary color on your homepage theme....i don't think you need it as i don't see your primary color anywhere there. But note the HEX value before you delete it in case you need to replace it.

That doesn't appear to have made any difference, although actually deleting the primary colour is difficult to confirm as having happened as there continues to be a circle on the colour spectrum - even though the hex value is no longer showing in the bar above.
