Priming The Video Pump

When I was growing up we had a water well and sometime the water would stop flowing so we had to go out and prime the pump. Well, that's all it took to solve my video problem, just had to prime the videos so to speak. Here's the story and the solution in case this happens to someone else.

I made a gallery for the videos and made it private and planned to leave it that way until I finished uploading the videos. I uploaded a dozen or so videos and none of them would play in any browser I tried. I contacted support about 10 days ago and the Heroes have been working on this bug since then and have made no progress. I decided to play around and see what I could figure out. To make a long story short, I found that if I changed the security setting on the gallery to unlisted, the videos would play fine and as long as I started each video while the gallery was unlisted, I could change the gallery setting back to private and the videos played fine.

The videos might have been drawing from your browser cache.

Nope, I checked that and it was consistent with every browser I tried, before and after I cleared the cache. It's still happening as we speak.
