I was just there last week but didn't get to hit these spots at the optimal time of day. You found some lovely light and gorgeous locations! Love #2, 4, 5 especially, but they're all really lovely. Where is Swirling Creek?

    Thank you.

I am sorry but I cannot say. The person that told me about it did so with only one condition; my silence.

Hah! Well then, it's a lovely secret and you captured the swirls wonderfully.

    These are just exceptional!
I've seen many shots from this area here, and IMO, these can't be beat in terms of light, comp and IQ.
    WoW! bowdown.gif

It's one of the plunge pools in upper Tenaya Canyon. It gets technical further on, and so I can understand not wanting to direct people there without a warning, but it's a fairly well documented place, with lots of unofficial use trails. If it's supposed to be a secret, it's fairly poorly kept secret.

Lots of trip reports on line, including a nice story by Dave Hahn, although he covers the upper canyon in a single sentence.

I agree, you got good light in these images. And what makes your plunge pool shot special isn't that it's a secret place nobody else has taken a picture of (a dozen on google), but that you got a good angle and good light.

Very nice. I got lucky at Mono Lake last autumn when there were a string of sunsets in which the entire sky turned red and orange.

Curious: what lake is that in #5 -- great sunset photo, btw. I like your Tenaya Lake shot. Most folks shoot horizontals there; nice to see a vertical take on it.
