Edit Captions "replace" - two problems

Scoured the forum for existing references to these but found nowt so maybe a bug (or two), I wasn't going to whack this straight into the Bug Reporting section without having someone check it first...
So, I'm in Organizer > Edit captions & keywords, using the Quick entry: replace stringA with stringB in all captions, Select All is active.
Problem 1
If a caption contains multiple instances of stringA, only the first instance gets replaced with stringB, the others are unchanged. The expected action was to replace ALL instances of stringA, but it ain't working like that.
Example:
Caption before replace operation reads "gubbins stringC, rubbish stringA, bs stringA, any old tosh stringA."
Caption after replace operation reads "gubbins stringC, rubbish stringB, bs stringA, any old tosh stringA."
Problem 2
If stringA includes a full-stop (period, dot) at the end, it never gets replaced with stringB.
So, what say you?

They really messed it up with not being able to edit keywords.
Yesterday I tried to remove some tags to get ready for NewSmug like and it didn't touch them.

Anyways, I'd be obliged if somebody would check that my findings as per the OP are reproducible, please. If we can find all of the small bugs and oddities in this area maybe SM could do one big coherent fix rather than piecemeal fixes that may or may not be compatible with each other.
But if "preview" is clicked for every string which should be replaced, all are replaced, also those ending in a dot or comma.
Which does not change a thing on it. Replace should work different.
I think we can assume that there's at least one bug here.
I'll ask someone to move it to the Bug Forum.
